What’s The Story?

With the help of a group of dedicated volunteers, we have turned a 14,000 square foot vacant lot into an urban farm to start growing our own fresh produce and head towards self-sufficiency!

In just four months starting in April 2012, the lot was fully weeded, mowed and tilled using manual tools. Wheelbarrows were used to transport more than 70 tons of soil to create 40 raised beds for effective planting. Today, what was then an abandoned vacant lot is now a vibrant, cultivated urban farm that provides produce for area families.
